The Moment

I remember the exact moment I fell into you.

You were taking us off on an adventure.

I looked over at you while you were driving

and saw that ever so soft smile of yours -

twinkling eyes focused forward,

driving carefully and mindfully as always.

I could see in that moment,

you were experiencing serene happiness.

In that same moment, I felt a rush of love for you

and was deeply grateful to be a passenger of your joy.

Whenever we go adventuring

I always sneak a sideways look at that smile of yours,

and it still makes me feel the same way.
